Adventure Time!

I've been riding my bike from work for a while now. Lately though it's been such a hassle, I don't dare to wake up at 5:00 AM to ride my bike to work, I don't mind the leisurely ride home though now that fall is coming though. I've been having a little rough times with accommodating everyone even myself with precious love that in turn produces positive experiences. I've decided to take more hold on my life. Currently I'm learning Mandarin Chinese because I feel that I have the best tool around and I should use it to my advantage (ooh that sounds bad), but it is a person. Ha, my other half is from Taiwan, so I don't have any excuse for not learning it efficiently. Whilst doing that, I'll be saving my pennies to enroll in some online courses to help me teach English abroad. This is what I can do here and in the now to make me happy. Again this is not the main reason for this post, but for some reason this here video just made me so at ease to begin riding my motorcycle. Yes, I am the girl who has a motorcycle under her name also not knowing how to ride one...what are the odds? Just like how I own roller blades.

Hiatus...

The title says it all. My nearest intersection is on Hiatus and Cleary. In the midst of moving I lost control of everything. Diet, exercise, even attitude. My life was in a whirlwind that I did not handle with grace. Which brings me into this stay of trying to be more graceful within my everyday life. For some reason my body is being treated like a tomboy's and frankly I don't like that. Besides my body, my mind has been a terrible and negative place which just attracted all of those things. Hopefully I'm done being on Hiatus and get everything back into a balance. Anyone with me?

Find a Bra Your Size!

I don't how to explain how excited I am to be introduced to a place where I can actually feel like a woman. A problem area for me has always been my small breast. Head on over to Lula Lu to check out their complete line of 32 AAA bras. I'm not that size nor do I shun anyone for being small, but I think I found a new place to order bras that look, feel and give me something extra while still remaining feminine. If I ever looked at the proportion of anyones' body we all have the same bone density and we do have to stay within a certain range. My weight has never been a match, but that is my goal. I believe that my breasts would look more proportionate if my body (back, rib, chest area) were smaller. That being said, I'm lucky to have found the humor in all this help for enhancing and being happy with what I do have. I came across this video while doing research on how at my age I can deal with what I was given. After hours of research this made me laugh and is actually helpful...

Negative Calorie Foods

Doesn't everyone want the perfect snack? Obviously making healthy snack food choices is difficult for all of us, especially when the biggest excuse is, 'I just don't have enough time.' I don't have any tips and tricks to help you with your actual mind set, yet... Previously, I believed all the hype about low-calorie, low-fat, fat-free nutrition food labels, plenty of people still do. Most media out there is focused on how to read and deceiver these labels and I prefer not to eat them at all.
At least I can provide you with a real life gimmick for putting those healthy snacks in your lunch boxes and most importantly, your mouth. I'll introduce you to Negative Calorie Foods: these are foods that require more calories to be spent on digestion than it provides. Basically, the amount of energy is used to process food is above your resting metabolism rate (thermic effect). Since all of these foods are natural, they naturally fit in with any healthy lifestyle goal.

  • Celery
  • Oranges
  • Grapefruit
  • Strawberries
  • Tangerines
  • Carrots
  • Apricots
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Watermelon
  • Cauliflower
  • Apples
  • Hot Chili Peppers
  • Zucchini
A word of caution: These foods should not be isolated as a well-balanced diet or weight loss plan.
As always exercise is also implemented as a source of thermal energy that helps your metabolism burn your extra calories (weight loss/maintenance). The good news! Having these foods in your diet plus exercise (aerobic, anaerobic weight training) improves the thermal effect of the food, burning more calories per hour.

Make over your perspective: How to create a gratitude practice on Shine

Make over your perspective: How to create a gratitude practice on Shine

How ironic that I've been going through a phase where I want to morph into a good person. Apparently back at the end of May is when I thought practicing gratitude would be a good idea. Nevertheless, even without looking back at this article I have actually started a gratitude journal. It's only been three days. I often forget to look for things throughout the day or be grateful for the things that I've already written about. That's not the point of this journal, but I collect my thoughts at the end of the day. Since then, I have actively practiced how to turn a negative thought, for example when I'm about to complain about my other half not doing something at all or something right. I have stopped in my steps (mental steps) and turned into a positive thought. Such as, "What loving act can I do right now?" It has worked and stopped a major argument about who is to pay the credit card bill and that is was almost late! Give it a try. It will lighten your mood...

On Hiatus

I've been pretty much out of the loop since my computer has broken down. I was convinced to find a phone to do all of my blogging needs. I'm sure that is out of the question. I have also have no camera, so I have been doing the last posts via cell phone. The most positive thing to come out of this ordeal would be that
a) I found a new job
b) I've been paying a lot more attention to my container gardening. Which in fact, I have created a 4-pepper container garden complete with coleus and pentas! I'll have to post the picture via phone.
And thirdly, I have been doing a lot more reading and dove again into the paths of enlightenment and entitlement. By entitlement I mean that I've read a book called "Princess: You Know Who You Are." Although, the book is more intended for humor purposes I believe it has lots of truths. Like how all women are they're own sugar mamas. Partially because we are the only ones who ever know are true needs, we know ourselves better than anyone else. So how can we sit here and pretend to be princesses when the people who we expect to pamper us don't really know how to do it our way at all; the old me would snap if something wasn't done to my expectations. Instead, I should take that negative sentence out of my head and replace it with a thought or act of love or kindness. I also have to think, only I could have done it the way I like it. (Remember: No Expectations, they ruin everything).
Recently I have been lashing out at the hands that feed me and I still have yet to figure out the root of me being evil. So included in my readings were a lot of things about Doshas and the Ayurveda practices. Perhaps following the recommendations for my dosha will help keep me in balance with anger and patience.

Stay Dry This Summer!

This is one of those embarrassing posts where I post a solution to that elephant in the room question. Trying a bit of humor on for size. Most of my life I've had a problem with excessive sweating. From the moment I started a rigorous activity or faced a stressful event the beads on my forehead would form. I'm offering a solution to the 'pitts.' After bathing or washing up for the night apply two layers of your favorite deodorant to clean, dry underarms. When you wake in the morning apply one more layer and you should be dry all day! Be sure to do this whenever you need that extra protection for the summer heat or event. Applying deodorant at night is more effective since the skin absorbs more during the sleep cycle, probably why it's called the rejuvination cycle as your cells repair, refresh, and renew for a new day and new body.

What Bananas Aren't Good For...

Bananas are one of those complete fruits that is very complex as far as how long the chemistry goes to serve your body. Personally, I love bananas, pure and not banana flavored things. Two things that I have learned and been taught are as follows: if you are having symptoms of an ichy throat, sore throat or cough, do not consume bananas. They irritate your throat and cause the cough to worsen.
Secondly, bananas are good for muscle repair and to regain any carbohydrate that has been lost due to exercise. However, there is a difference between muscle pain and muscle soreness. Do not consume bananas when you are experiencing any type of muscle pain especially back pain.
There is one last suggestion, but haven't researched the validity of it. Try to avoid consuming bananas when outside or preparing to be outside where there is any possibility of encountering mosquitos. They love the scent the bananas given by your body odor causing the blood suckers to be attracted to your skin more likely making you live bait. I have experienced this myth however, still need to research it.
Next time, consider your diet when you are sick.

New Business! And Spam...

Sorry that I haven't been writing much or updating for that matter. I've had a struggle with my plants...I ended up trying to be a cheap-o and mixed potting soil with potting mix. Which is a no-no because then the water doesn't drain properly from the pots. Therefore, both my wonderful zucchini and snow peas died when I transplanted them. Lesson learned. However, my jalapeƱos are thriving! I've actually been quite busy trying to think of a business plan since I've become so heavily involved with gardening. I'll have to reveal the details, but that's where  I have been. Also, my laptop broke. I'm working on getting a new phone with a computer for the time being.

Quickly,
spam...I'm wondering if people are actually reading my blog, because I've gotten some emails, okay, only 2 to share my writing. Perhaps I should take them up on the offer. Networking.

I'm on a break during work. I will post up new pictures of my seedlings and give more details on my business venture. I've almost forgotten about the beauty aspect of this blog, but not to fear. I have a recipe for homemade baby wipes!

Should I know this stuff? I'm 22!

Things I Wish I'd Known About Dating When I was 21 -- Yahoo! Personals: "Search Dating Articles:"

Okay I don't want to post every article on the internet, but even if I can't help it I have to remember something from all that reading. :) I also don't think that media should determine your life, but it is a source of opinion.

Oh...number four. I should have known that I don't need to do anything nice for someone to ask me out. Recently I didn't have to which proves that "he doesn't need any help."
Guys just do NOT think like Girls!
They won't mature in the next six months.
OMG! This could have saved me and it still can! Numero 12: Learn to cook. Learn to cook well.
I'm unique, special and important, but not a princess. Although this might contradict what I said earlier, this is making the point of  no one else is going to treat you like one. So better off, as mentioned before, you only know your own needs. Be a princess...lol.
I can also relate very well to this one: My wants and needs are just are important as his. And if I don't express them because I think I'm scaring my partner away, it's just saying that I don't count as much as he does.
If my guy ever takes me out on 5 Applebee's dates and then I take him out to one really nice one, how can I ever do that to him. Aww...this is what my partner feels like when I say let's go out to eat. Gosh. It all makes sense now, and I feel like a re-tard.
Hmm...this one is interesting. Men don't think and not because they can't compose their thoughts or their confused.  On the contrary, they just don't think about anything except what they're doing at the moment. If they're watching something or doing something on the computer they're doing and thinking just that.
I just had to copy and paste this one.

27. There should be a medium ground between workaholism and his absolute devotion. "The knight departing for new adventures offends his lady, yet she has nothing but contempt for him if he remains at her feet" (Simone de Beauvoir, "The Second Sex", 658).

Since the beginning of the year I've been having this real bad downfall with my environment, relationship, work, everything. This just says to me everything I did wrong and this is so right. If my partner leaves off on new 'adventures' I'm offended and hurt by him. I want to do everything with him, but I'm upset when he doesn't. However when we didn't have jobs and he was there 'remaining at my feet.' We really could have killed each other. Even though I'm also getting what I wanted, "doing everything with him." I took him for granted. Oops :(

I should never underestimated the quality of interesting. I need some hobbies to keep my man, he wants an interesting women, just like the one unique one he met. This one gets me happy.

These last two should be in everyones' mind:
Expectations? They'll ruin every dating experience I have.
I'll never understand men, I should just try to understand yourself.
I like the latter one also, because, honestly it's a lot more interesting to try to understand myself :) I'm doing what makes me smile.

I like this article :)

5 Fast Fixes for a Stronger Relationship - Love Sex on Shine

5 Fast Fixes for a Stronger Relationship - Love Sex on Shine

I fell off the wagon again with my partner and I'm having such a hard time to face the truth as well as change. I need to change the way I face life. I'm scared and I blame everything and everyone except myself. Step one is to actually go back and take that damn test that I'm supposed to do. I just keep talking about it and not doing it. Okay this has little to do with the post. All in all I need to focus on staying happy for myself because it's like hair. If the scalp is not healthy neither is your lovely locks. And I want my boyfriend and I to stay healthy. Hopefully this helps us become a little stronger, even though it's more for me. Wish me luck!

Patio Tomatoes!

However, at my new job, an employee bought these from Lowe's for me. So far the plant has 8 small tomatoes, with that giant green one being the biggest. I've fed them nutrients, but only every two weeks. I'm not sure if I should move them to a bigger pot. I'm trying to create a simple pesticide to keep from bugs eating away at the leaves. The simplest one is liquid dishwashing detergent with water in a spray bottle. I looked over some ingredients in a natural one at Home Depot and it seemed to be made of a small amount of essential oils with the rest water. I have seen some recipes which contain these oils such as rosemary. I hope to see them grown soon!

I'm Starting a Veggie Container Garden!

After growing some specific herbal medicine from seeds I've suddenly got the green thumb. Myself trying to be the jack of all trades did have an interest in Horticulture. Especially when I was studying at Texas A&M University. Of course, myself got in the way of myself and never pursued it. I should have believed I could do it because I did run across someone when I worked at Aveda, that had an awesome job. OH! I just remembered I have a plan page (short term/long term goals). I think I wrote about it in a previous post. See, how I'm trying to master just about everything and seek the best information on how to do the oddest things. Back on topic. Since working at The Home Depot, I go there on my mini-breaks and look at something new. The plants that I have thus far are: blueberry, stevia, bell pepper, and spinach. The seeds that I have already germinated and are ready for pots are: snow peas, carrots, jalapeƱos, and zucchini (black beauty). I have a day off tomorrow that I will spend gardening and creating a new page on this blog to update my progress and post up pictures. I'm really excited about this new project.

On another note. I have been working out consistently and have seen results. This weekend I relaxed a bit and had some alcohol, again very bad for the body, although some might argue about wine. I have a book on that! Almost everything how-to, lol. I'll have to research wines soon. The whole point was...I will try and convert some workout videos here or try to find the best way for you to reach them. As you know I do not like any traditional workouts so lately I've been working out with Callanetics and an Introduction to Belly Dance. The first visible results were my arms, upper torso and legs. Hopefully I'll be posting up a calender. I already have pictures and video. I still haven't worked myself lazy beach bum self to do Jillian's 30 Day Shred. Instead I'm doing cardio with Women's Health Total Body in 10. I love it and it's a lot of the same things in every exercise routine even Jillian's. Okay this post content is surpassing the subject line content. Peace.

Alli Alternative!

I'm sure everyone has researched up and down about what foods to eat in order to help get rid of fat. I've never mentioned this before, but I have gone on one trial of the product Alli, that contains Orlistat in order to prevent fat absorption. After reading article after article and consulting with my Asian friends I have come to the discovery that omega 3 fatty acids are exactly what people out there say they are. I'm going to try and explain why these are actually good for you, why you should seek out more sources?, and a little bit of that unexplained science.
Omega 3 Fatty Acids
What they do? They reduce the levels of the hormone Leptin.
What is Leptin?
Leptin plays a role in: energy intake, energy expenditure, appetite, and metabolism. It's a very important fat (adipose) derived hormone. This is a hormone produced by the human body (fat) when absent it leads to uncontrolled food intake.
Leptin is an indicator of your energy balance. So, you see everything is always related. After eating something that isn't healthy often leads to a drag in energy which indicates that the leptin level to control your food intake isn't increasing in order to rev-up your metabolism in order to burn all the fat you've taken in. Which is why in every place on the planet everyone will tell you the same thing about weight loss, it's just a deduction in caloric intake and how much you burn overall, 3500 calories = 1 pound, simple. Calories in Calories out (calories are an actual unit of measurement indicating energy).
How does it work?
Leptin works in the brain. It inhibits long term appetite by counteracting neuropeptide y and anandamine. Both are feeding stimulants. Did you know? Anandamine binds to the receptors of THC (found in marijuana) hence getting the munchies thereafter. Lastly, it promotes another aid in suppressing appetite(alpha MSH).
Other helpful information: Only Leptin & Insulin act as a fat signal, controlling levels of both hormones and food intake. Insulin, food for thought, especially those who have trouble with. Another thing I might mention is that the majority of the population who is obese really do have an illness or disease, however you may want to interpret excuses (this is not an excuse), it is that they have overindulged and exploited the roles of these hormones, simple as that.
Alli works by inhibiting the gastric and pancreatic lipases, when this activity is blocked triglycerides aren't absorbed as fatty acids therefore get passed on. (Check out more information about triglyceride free diets, could be why some people have gastric problems). This topic comes up because of Leptins' relationship with Amylin (both neurohormones playing a role in body weight control). Believe it or not, buy Amylin is produced by beta cells in the what...pancreas. Their results (animal model of obesity) are sustained, fat specific weight loss.
Okay, with all of that said, I encourage you to find out your preference of selecting which fatty acids to intake. I was recommended Shrimp Skin, not only for fatty acid benefits, but the amounts of vitamins it has to provide me with the fountain of youth. This recent article on Yahoo! claims that Sardines are the ultimate in fatty acids. I'm excited to learn to like these, I'll try the skin and boneless once first.

How to Remove Stretch Marks!

For as long as I can remember I've always grown up with stretch marks. I suppose it all started when I gain a rapid amount of weight. The ones on my stomach just formed, after gaining than fluctuating with my weight loss the ones on my stomach seemed to elongate and than "shrink" marks appeared. What I mean by shrink marks are those silvery ones that you don't think look so bad. But the bad news is that it means those have now become permanent. You see when they're red that means the elastic in your skin is actively breaking and there is hope for you. Once it has done the permanent damage of your skin tearing because you grew too fast. Now when you lose the weight they shrink back and fade to silvery lines. Now I'm going to try everything I can to get rid of them because I want my dream body, but I need to know in an affordable and effective way since I do not have money for Retin-A or Surgery!

An Affordable Way to Get Rid of Stretch Marks!
It's not going to be a quick fix, please be patient unless you think you'd rather get a job and come up with the money for the expensive stuff. This will help naturally, which is what counts to me.

  • Use Retin-A
I know, I said we couldn't afford it. That said, there are a couple of other forms. Use Vitamin A, remember to reduce your exposure to the sun after applying Vitamin A, it's more susceptible to skin damage. Retinoids and  retinol are less potent and less harsh and can be found anywhere. With that in mind, they require more upkeep  to keep seeing and producing results. Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids (AHA/BHA) , Glycolic, Lactic and Citrus Acids are all better options for less drying results. It's best to use these and find them in a scrub. Leave the scrub on a little longer after you have massaged your entire body or just the stretch mark zones. This will not only provide you with the active ingredients, it will also increase cell turnover, remove dead skin cells, and prepare your skin to reap the optimum benefits of each product. CQ-10 is also good and is found in a lot of firming creams.
  • Take a Warm Bath
Warm water improves circulation. Don't forget to scrub those target zones! You can also do dry brushing or use a special scrubbing tool to improve circulation. The better the circulation the better chance you have at preventing future stretch marks because your skin is now more elastic. This will also help in the aid of cellulite.
  • Drink Water
Not only is this essential to every diet, but it does wonders for every part of your life. For your skin it keeps it soft, hydrated and elastic. Staying properly hydrated ensures that your collagen production is at normal levels. Think of it as the world's most inexpensive 'internal' moisturizer. Reach for water before energy drinks it will keep you awake I promise. Also, the more you drink the more you'll have the since of urgency to pee. Also room temperature or warm water with lemon juice or a slice of lemon in the morning will jump start your metabolism for the day. I'm not sure how controversial the whole 8 glasses of 8 ounces of water a day is. In my opinion if you're aiming to cut out soda (which you really should) and any other "unhealthy" flavored beverages than you should drink your glasses of water. Of course if you should mix in other items like, coconut water or tea than those should account as part of your daily H20 intake. Of course, please abide by your body and own dietary needs.
  • Have Coffee!
Coffee grounds contain caffeine obviously, but it refreshes the skin and temporarily reduces the appearance of stretch marks.  Use 3 cups of freshly ground coffee mixed with 3 tablespoons of olive oil until a smooth mixture formed. Apply in circular motions to your stretch marks for several minutes. Wrap with a towel for 10-15 minutes than rinse. If you can try to rinse with cold water as it will tighten your skin temporarily, you can use this technique all over your body. When you apply cold water on your face it reduces the appearance of pore size (forget Pore Perfectors). Did you know? Fat Girl Slim also has caffeine and another ingredient CQ 10 (look at all the savings!)
  • Vitamin E
Rub Vitamin E vigorously for 5 minutes or until effectively absorbed to the skin. Buy Vitamin E (liquid) capsules in bulk and pierce the ends with a needle to use the contents (about 4-5 capsules per application). Or you can just purchase Vitamin E at a natural foods/cosmetic store (The Body Shop). Did you know? Vitamin E contains Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) which helps reduce those pesky stretch marks by removing dead skin cells and allowing room for new healthier skin without stretch marks to grow. Please allow several months to start to see results and watch them disappear.
  • You know this one...Exercise!
For serious. Stretch marks look worse on flabby skin than on toned, firm tanned skin (self-tanned). Just think of it this way only 2 1/2 hours of moderate aerobic activity a week! And only 1 hour and 15 minutes a week! Try picking low impact workouts such as pilates, yoga, ballet, and try walking (it's the best form). Try doing fun short toning workouts everyday. Use Google to find quick workouts. It's more effective and motivating to break down your workouts to 3- 10 minute sessions (for maintenance) or 4- 10 minute sessions (for weight loss)...This is proven to be the most effective. About self-tanning, I'm all about Mother Earth providing you with everything you'll ever need, but if your not using sunscreen while tanning than this may pose a serious sun damaging skin problem. Besides using self-tanner is quick and effective, but I'm sure there is a way to contour your body and camouflage those stretch marks to have you looking great in minutes!

Last, but not Least. If your really serious about your appearance consult a dermatologist to see what new or existing prescriptions there are for a more effective way to get rid of stretch marks. Or consult a plastic surgeon as there are laser and surgery to complete your journey to your own happiness.

Need another Lifestyle change!

You know every time that I lost large amounts of weight it was because of a lifestyle change and not in the diet portion. From growing up and moving out, leaving the country, moving to another state other than my home state, the ending of a relationship, and the beginning of a new one. I've gone from my average 180 lbs. @ 5'4" to my heaviest 214 lbs. then currently  at 140 lbs. My goal is to start toning up for the summer, lose about 25-35 pound while creating a better person. Today I started writing down my short term goals and long term goals. You know when books and all sorts of advice tell you to write down your goals because it's a healthy, effective aid. Not until this moment I believe so. I looked back through all my hardships and realized that I actually do this exercise and didn't even know it. I'm sure I've pulled out several notebooks with different tid-bits and all this time I never thought that exercise was worth while or that I wouldn't be perfect at it. That 'Flickr" stereotypical, I carry around my Moleskine and write my feelings kind of perfect. Back on subject, writing down short-term goals and long terms goals really does help even if you're going to throw away that piece of paper. It may be the law of attraction, but no one ever knows.

Mmmm...Breakfast!

I love this breakfast! It's so sweet and tasty. Brown rice is one of your whole grains. Almonds are a great source of protein. Vanilla Extract is far better than an artificial sweetener. A 1/4 cup of raisins equals one serving of fruit. You can use fresh blueberries also. Maple syrup is a great source of Zinc and Manganese. Zinc is great for reproductive health for men(helps the prostate tissue), immune system, and keeping your heart healthy by maintaining HDL (good cholesterol). Manganese is also good for men's reproductive health (maintains cholesterol/fatty acids and the production of sex hormones), protects against free radicals, lessens inflammation, which in turn aids in protecting the immune system. Enjoy the benefits!

Take a Better Shower: Make the Most of Your Time

Video - Your Look - MSN Lifestyle or Beauty 101: Take better showers

Wow! Really! I didn't think I could learn too much from a video with that title. I'm like okay, everyone knows how to take a shower. After I watched this I was like I need to go get somethings and I can save a ton of time in the shower and still look good.

1. Prepare

  • Run warm water not hot
  • If staying longer than 5-10 minutes coat your body, not your feet in body oil to seal in moisture. I want to try this!
  • It's important not to stay longer than 10-15 minutes.
2. Shampoo
  • Use Quarter size amount of shampoo. The amount of shampoo you use is just enough for the scalp, it is not necessary to use all over. When rinsing out it is enough to clean to the ends of your hair. (Unless you did something crazy with your hair and use lots of product. Use a clarifying shampoo.)
  • Products you use affect your mood in the shower. I like energizing scents in the morning to keep that just clean-flowery smell, which according to Cosmo, guys love! They like the clean scent, btw. My guy likes my scent, hehe.
  • Start at the scalp and massage with fingertips. This is important, don't use nails because it scratches your scalp. The fingertips are just enough to loosen dirt and debris.
  • Rinse very well.
  • Also, after working for Aveda, one thing is key. DO NOT WASH EVERYDAY!
  • Dime size of conditioner massaged in mid-shaft to the roots. I wondered why they say mid-shaft, but I guess I really do know. After your hair is dry it's nice to go in with a brush that has nice knob-like ends to the bristles to be able to massage your scalp for relief of tension, but also to bring back natural oils.
  • 5 minutes is enough for conditioner, unless you have more time or are doing a special treatment. For the best conditioning use a shower cap.
3. Scrub
  • Once a week.
  • Body scrub or Textured washcloth. The Body Shop has the best scrubs and that washcloth your looking for. Victoria Beckham (love her) uses The Body Shop's Bath Gloves
  • Pay extra attention to rough areas like: knees, elbows, ankles, do your heels last.
  • Don't exfoliate legs if your going to shave.
  • Exfoliate a little more than once a week if your oily, less if your dry.
4. Shave
  • Use moisturizing gel or cream.
  • Use upward strokes.
  • Use a sharp razor to prevent nicks, cuts and irritation.
  • Turn off faucet. It saves 10 gallons of water!
  • It says to do it at the end, which is accurate if you're taking a quick shower, because your hairs are soft. I read somewhere else that 3-5 minutes into the shower because the hair is soft enough, but your legs aren't too plumped ensuring the closest shave.
5. Wash
  • Cleanse hands, feet, and private parts. It's not necessary to wash the rest if you're not especially dirty, bathing more than once a day can dry out your skin.
  • Use a creamy body wash or soap-free bar infused with moisturizers. I love the Caribbean Therapy Bath Bar! Leaves my skin moisturized, non-irritated, and the smell is to die for.
Moisturize right after you get out of the shower. Pat your skin dry and leave it a little damp that way you receive optimum moisture. It is true, a wet sponge picks up more than a dry one!

Okay, so I know this is embarrassing for me and I am hoping other people are worried about this stuff too. Well, why wouldn't they? It's in a best selling magazine, it's COSMO for goodness sakes. Either way, I'm putting in my two cents, because I need to remember and retain all information that is useful to me on the Internet. Come on guys, because honestly it is TMIOL! more like TURMOIL! Too Much Information Over Load! So I'm just using this as a notebook or scrapbook if you will, to make snapshots, notes, and comments of useful beauty, sex, housekeeping, cooking, skincare, cosmetic information, I can
just tell my weaknesses and embarrassments! I could remain anonymous. It's about creating myself to be a better person and loving myself inside and out. I'll try to keep it well rounded, but who cares. Only me, I can put it on private. I hate it when links change, get broken or taken off. Oh well, I need to remember.

When I have pimples on my butt?
Loofah and Exfoliating Scrub when showering.
To Prevent use body wash with pore-unclogging salicylic acid, let sit for a few minutes. It's to be able to use all the benefits of the body wash.
Optional to use the same treatments for your face. Should be soft in 10 days.
I've used this before and it really works to get rid of (back-acne) and it's smells great! So refreshing!

I don't usually tend to wear shoes or sandals that give me small dark spots on my toes, but when I get them they don't look attractive. Wait come to think of it, maybe I do have some spots, I'm looking at them now. Eww... When I was younger I didn't have them because all I used to wear was tennis shoes and socks, so my feet never got exposed to 'flip-flops.' When the craze hit, I too followed and my feet got destroyed. Sad. There is hope. They're scars not spots. Use 1% OTC Hydro-cortisone Cream once a day before sleeping. Results: 2 long awaited months, beauty isn't fast! I'm sure something powerful will do the trick, but I want to try this.

My underarms are giving me the pits (pun intended). Well, this used to be a problem, but I'm glad I know how to resolve it. Here's the gross part, it's a consistent  build-up of dead skin cells through the little hills and valleys, yuck! Use OTC moisturizer with exfoliating  lactic acid to damp skin AM and PM. Try this Lac-Hydrin Five Lotion @ CVS

Dark Spots on nose. No matter what I use, strips, scrubs, squeeze, they don't come out. Use scrub with small synthetic beads and salicylic acid or AHA. Results: One week. But I bet to keep them off you have to keep doing it. I used to use this Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser. I used it to clear up the tiny little red bumps on my forehead that were just trapped sebum. I think AHA (Alpha Hydrox Acid) is more gentle to the skin than salicylic acid, IMO.
